SpyNET

SpyNET is an experiment application I wrote in CSharp in the summer of 2009. SpyNET allows a user to spy on another user with or without them knowing. SpyNET works by a user running the SpyNET client normally without knowing which then automatically installs it on their computer and adds a shortcut to it in startup. Then the user will always run the client which automatically updates itself and then tries to connect to the SpyNET server and send it information.
The SpyNET server can then request information such as the computer details, when the client computer was last active and screenshots of the computer. SpyNET can also send messages to the client which will then popup on the client's computer. This can be used to play pranks or jokes on the client by saying things such as "I can see you!" or "The matrix has you".
Some problems occur when using SpyNET normally due to the security checks on the clients computer. SpyNET requires UAC / Administrator permission and access to the internet which make firewalls and UAC popup. This will make the client suspicious unless they are told that it is actually a background program that is needed to make a fake program that they are testing to work.
